Burscough Bridge Train Station - Heritage
This photograph is believed to be the station staff including the station dog. This was taken in early 1900s on the platform side. Note the station clock in the top right, which I have not been able to source as yet. Maybe an enthusiast has it on his wall somewhere?
This photograph is of Mr Nicholas, Station Master who lived and worked in the house until the late 1950s. He is seen here with Tommy Bridge centre and Tommy Poslewait to the left. The Station Master was succeeded by Bill Meadows and in turn Mr Daley.
A magnificent snap shot in time with all the station staff including clerks for the sidings and porters proudly fronting the house.
Station House at an unknown time in history looking as good as ever.
Lavery's Christmas Pudding Train being loaded in the sidings with the Station House in the background.
